As the Bigg Market development nears completion, the extension of the HiveTree city centre site is now underway. Stretching out to Pudding Chare, the derelict space is seeing a complete refurbishment. Spread over 4 floors, the open plan space spans over 20,000 sq ft. With office, studio space and co-working facilities in the making, the building will expand the HiveTree community.
Pudding Chare itself will also see a complete overhaul, giving the previously overlooked street a new lease of life. Other big plans for 2021 include demolition of the old Chronicle building, and construction of a new 5 star Marriott hotel. The backstreet will act as a gateway to both the new development, and the hotel entrance from Bigg Market.
